Born in 1954 in Casasimarro, Spain, Casimiro Lozano Carrillo is a distinguished luthier with a rich legacy in the world of guitar making. His personal journey into luthiery began in 1969 when he embarked on a comprehensive apprenticeship under the tutelage of Vicente Carrillo Cantos (1926-1971) and his wife Gabriela Casass Fornier (1927-2005), whose daughter Petry Carrillo, he married Over the years, he honed his craft in Carrillo's workshop, eventually ascending to the esteemed position of foreman.

In 1992, Casimiro took a bold step by establishing his own workshop, where he now collaborates with his son, Victor. This transition marked the inception of an era defined by Casimiro's distinct vision and dedication to the art of guitar making.

Initially, Casimiro drew inspiration from the legendary Ignacio Fleta, crafting guitars that paid homage to Fleta's iconic style. However, the winds of innovation and evolution soon beckoned. Encounters with the creations of the renowned German luthier Matthias Dammann sparked a transformative shift in Casimiro's approach. He embarked on a journey into the world of double-top guitars, a style championed by Dammann. This bold leap into uncharted territory positioned Casimiro as one of the foremost builders in Spain specializing in this innovative guitar design.

Casimiro's double-top guitars are characterized by their unique construction. They boast two soundboards, each meticulously crafted from two exceptionally thin tops. The result is an instrument of astonishing lightness and vibrancy, a true testament to Casimiro's mastery. These guitars resonate with remarkable power, emanating a rich, open, and unmistakably Spanish tone. Their dynamic range allows for a breathtaking spectrum of expression, captivating both players and audiences alike.
