German Vazquez Rubio is one of the most talented and prestigious luthiers in the world today. He was born in 1952 in Paracho, Mexico where there is an abundance of fine luthiers, and began his formal training when he was eleven years old with uncle Manuel Rubio. In 1968 at the age of sixteen he made his first concert guitar. Since then, he has studied with various master builders such as Felix Manzanero, Jose Romanillos, David Daly, and Thomas Humphrey. He now lives in Los Angeles, California where he has a workshop and continues to build guitars.

This guitar is structurally in excellent condition. While the French polish on the back and sides is in very good conditionon the top due to many years of playing is dull in many places There are scratches at the edge of the lower tap plate and some throughout the top. None of this takes away from the sound. If you want an instrument that sounds fantastic and has been played often, this is a great instrument.
